    Kenya: Jeptoo’s ex-agent, coach appear in separate courts

    NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) — The former agent and coach of banned marathon champion Rita Jeptoo appeared in separate Kenyan courts on Monday and were both released on bail as police continue to investigate them for involvement in doping.

    Bekele left off Ethiopia’s Olympic team

    ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia (AP) — Kenenisa Bekele won’t compete at next month’s Olympics, perhaps the distance running great’s last chance at the games, after he was left off Ethiopia’s final team for failing to meet the country’s qualifying criteria in both the marathon and the 10,000 meters.
