    Cardinals strike out 15 times in 6-3 loss to Marlins

    ST. LOUIS (AP) — Michael Wacha labored to get 12 outs and the lineup struck out 15 times. The bottom line: the St. Louis Cardinals’ first series after the All-Star break was no fresh start.

    Suzuki gets 3 hits, up to 2,994 as Marlins beat Cardinals

    ST. LOUIS (AP) — Ichiro Suzuki doubled, singled twice and had another hit taken away on a replay challenge, leaving him six shy of 3,000 in the Miami Marlins’ 6-3 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday.

    Wainwright throws 3-hitter, Cardinals blank Marlins 5-0

    ST. LOUIS (AP) — Adam Wainwright threw a three-hit shutout to keep rolling in July, and the St. Louis Cardinals snapped the Miami Marlins’ four-game winning streak with a 5-0 victory Saturday night.
