    Andy Murray gives Britain Davis Cup title after 79 years

    GHENT, Belgium (AP) — Andy Murray gave Britain its first Davis Cup title in 79 years when he beat Belgium’s David Goffin 6-3, 7-5, 6-3 in the first of reverse singles Sunday.

    Britain wins doubles, 1 point away from Davis Cup title

    GHENT, Belgium (AP) — Britain is one point away from lifting the Davis Cup title for the first time in 79 years after winning the doubles against Belgium on Saturday.

    Goffin beats Edmund, Belgium leads 1-0 over Britain

    GHENT, Belgium (AP) — Andy Murray kept Britain in contention in the Davis Cup final when he beat Belgium’s Ruben Bemelmans in straight sets to leave the two nations level at 1-1 after the opening singles Friday.

    Andy Murray leads Britain’s Davis Cup bid against Belgium

    GHENT, Belgium (AP) — Andy Murray ended a 77-year wait for a British man to win the Wimbledon title and he is on the verge of snapping an even longer drought in the Davis Cup final.
