The 2016 season of Bulldog football kicks off today at 7 p.m. at Bulldog Bowl with an unusual first-game opponent: Carlsbad. The earliest edition of the Eddy County War since 1930 was celebrated today at Artesia High School with a pep assembly, followed by another pep rally for the team at Yates Petroleum.
