ARTESIA MAGISTRATE COURT

Jayson R. Vargas, 20, of Artesia, bound over to district court on charges of battery upon a peace officer, resisting, evading or obstructing an officer, and battery against a household member.
Mason Lucero, 21, of Roswell, bound over to district court on charges of receiving or transferring a stolen motor vehicle, altering or changing engine or other numbers, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, concealing identity, speeding, no proof of insurance, driving on a suspended license, turning movements and required signals, improper display of a registration plate, expired registration, and driver’s license not in possession.
Charges of driving on a revoked license nolle prosequied without prejudice by the prosecutor against David Banuelas, 26, of Roswell.

ARTESIA MUNICIPAL COURT

Ernestine Lopez found guilty of operators and chauffeurs must be licensed and obedience to signs designating one-way streets and alleys. Total fines and fees $83.

Hector C. Morales found guilty of contempt of court, failure to pay fines. Sentenced to two days in the Artesia Detention Center.
Sara L. Duran found guilty of contempt of court, failure to comply with conditions of supervised probation. Sentenced to complete 65 days of supervised probation as originally sentenced. In a separate ruling, Duran was found guilty of three counts of contempt of court, failure to pay fines. Sentenced to four-and-a-half days in the Artesia Detention Center.
Jerry M. Romero found guilty of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor and/or drugs. Sentenced to 365 days of supervised probation. Total fines and fees $489.
Jeremiah D. Perez found guilty of unlawful use of a suspended license. Sentenced to four days in the Artesia Detention Center. Total fines and fees $229. In a separate ruling, Perez was found guilty of two counts of contempt of court, failure to appear for sentencing. Total fines and fees $58.
Javier Delgado found guilty of interference with officers and prowling. Sentenced to 60 days in the Artesia Detention Center. Total fines and fees $358. A charge of contempt of court, failure to appear as ordered was dismissed with prejudice.
