Edna Drusilla Luck

, 75, returned to her heavenly home on August 6, 2016 after a courageous battle with a life changing illness. Her devotion to her family, grandchildren and belief in God and His word supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.

Edna most commonly known as “Dru” to her family and friends was born to the late Frank and Jessie Stacy, a sand and gravel business owner and a homemaker respectively in Roswell on December 4, 1940.

Edna was blessed with a large and loving family. She married her best friend and only boyfriend, the late Jerry Luck of Roswell, on December 28, 1958 in Roswell, NM. Edna raised her three children with patience, extreme love and humility.

She taught them to never speak unkind words about anyone.

Edna was a homemaker and piano player. She was kind and softspoken, and always had time to listen and love others all her life! Her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is now at peace with her savior, dearly miss her.

Edna is survived by her sons Brent Luck of Maricopa AZ, Kevin Luck of Brea CA and her daughter Cheryl Luck Morrison of Lubbock TX; and as mom would say her “daughter in Love” Melissa Luck and Janice Luck; her grandchildren Michael and Jordan Morrison and Devin, Zofia and Samantha Luck. She has one great grandchild Sean Morrison. She leaves behind a sister, Joyce Francis and her sister in love Betty Stacy and her very close cousin Opal Hill and with many nieces, nephews and cousins and all the Luck family.

Edna’s home going service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 13, at Bethel Baptist Church, and she will be laid to rest at South Park Cemetery immediately following the service. Minister Brent Luck her son and Dr. Scott McMahon will officiate the service.
