CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago cheered on the hottest sports team in town on Sunday and, for the day at least, it wasn’t a team called the Bears, White Sox, Cubs, Bulls or Blackhawks.

Japan beats Las Vegas 5-0 in third-place game

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AP) — Takuma Takahashi struck out 11 and homered to help Japan silence Las Vegas’ hot bats and win 5-0 in the Little League World Series’ third-place game Sunday.

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AP) — After his Chicago team had come back to beat Las Vegas 7-5 in the U.S. final on Saturday at the Little League World Series, manager Darold Butler admitted he wasn’t sure what came next.
