    WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) — Rookie Patrik Laine got the last laugh in his anticipated showdown with Auston Matthews, then cracked a joke or two after.

    Newcomers Staal, Stewart lead Wild to 4-3 win against Jets

    ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Eric Staal and Chris Stewart each got their first goal with Minnesota since being acquired in the offseason, helping the Wild overcome a two-goal deficit to beat the Winnipeg Jets 4-3 on Saturday night.
