STELLENBOSCH, South Africa (AP) — Oscar Pistorius will finally learn his fate Tuesday when a judge is expected to announce the Olympic runner’s sentence for killing girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

JOHANNESBURG (AP) — South Africa is reluctant to step in as a last-minute host for next year’s African Cup of Nations because the sport ministry fears Ebola and unplanned staging costs.

PRETORIA, South Africa (AP) — The chief prosecutor in the Oscar Pistorius trial urged the judge on Friday to send the Olympic athlete to prison for at least 10 years, calling it the minimum acceptable term and noting the horrific nature of the shooting death of Reeva Steenkamp.

PRETORIA, South Africa (AP) — Oscar Pistorius must “pay for what he’s done” and his apology to the family of the girlfriend he killed was not sincere, a cousin of Reeva Steenkamp said Thursday as testimonies wrapped up.
