Milan prosecutor demands 6 years for Berlusconi

Prosecutor Ilda Boccassini makes her closing arguments during a hearing in former Premier Silvio Berlusconi's sex-for-hire trial, in Milan, Italy, Monday, May 13, 2013. Berlusconi is accused of paying for sex with an underage Moroccan prostitute at a lavish party he hosted while he was premier and then trying to cover it up. The sensational trial reopened just days after Berlusconi's four-year sentence for tax fraud was confirmed by an appeals court, a damaging verdict that nonetheless cannot be enforced until all appeals are exhausted. Boccassini, who is continuing final arguments opened by a colleague in early March, will wrap with sentencing demands later Monday. Barring delays, a verdict could come by the end of the month. The scandal shaking up South Korea’s main spy agency is not cloak-and-dagger stuff, but the kind of low-grade trickery anyone with an Internet connection could pull off. And the target was not Seoul’s opaque rival to the north, but the country’s own people. Internet postings ostensibly from ordinary South Koreas, but actually from National Intelligence Service agents, allegedly boosted President Park Geun-hye while she was running for the job as the ruling party’s nominee. She was reportedly dubbed “the best,” while her opponent, in a play on his name, was called “criminal.” (AP Photo/Yonhap, Im Hun-jung) KOREA OUT
