    Cubs-Pirates stopped by rain, first tie in majors since 2005

    PITTSBURGH (AP) — The Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates played to the first tie game in the major leagues since 2005 when rain forced the teams to stop in the sixth inning Thursday night with the score 1-all.

    CHICAGO (AP) — Chris Kunitz scored two third-period goals in the defending Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins’ 2-0 exhibition victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday night.

    PITTSBURGH (AP) — John Jaso hit for the cycle and drove in five runs to lead the Pittsburgh Pirates to an 8-4 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday night.
