ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — C.J. Wilson outdid Andy Pettitte with seven effective innings, Albert Pujols and Mark Trumbo each had three hits and Chris Iannetta singled home the go-ahead run, leading the Los Angeles Angels to a 5-2 victory over the New York Yankees on Friday night.

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — Mariano Rivera had warmed up several times already before finally entering to a standing ovation for his likely Oakland Coliseum farewell. In the 18th inning, 5½ hours after first pitch, the potential winning run aboard and just about everybody eager to call it a day.
