Freund wins overall ski jump World Cup by tiebreaker

PLANICA, Slovenia (AP) — Severin Freund of Germany won the overall ski jump World Cup title by the slimmest of margins Sunday, claiming the crystal globe on a tiebreaker rule after tying for points in the season-long standings with Peter Prevc of Slovenia.

MERIBEL, France (AP) — Anna Fenninger overcame her nerves and a strong challenge from Tina Maze to clinch her second straight World Cup title in style Sunday, joining Marcel Hirscher on the winners’ podium as he celebrated a record fourth straight men’s title.
