KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Melo Trimble had 31 points, Dez Wells scored all but two of his 14 points in the second half and Maryland beat Arizona State 78-73 on Monday night in the semifinals of the CBE Classic.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Laurin Mincy scored 23 points, Shatori Walker-Kimbrough had 16, and No. 9 Maryland overcame a sloppy start and slowly pulled away in the second half Saturday in a 75-65 win over nearby rival George Washington.
