Malaysia jet victims’ bodies arrive in Netherlands

EINDHOVEN, Netherlands (AP) — Victims of the Malaysian jetliner shot down over Ukraine returned at last Wednesday to Dutch soil in 40 wooden coffins, solemnly and gently carried to 40 identical hearses, flags at half-staff flapping in the wind.

Shakhtar Donetsk to play in Lviv this season

DONETSK, Ukraine (AP) — Shakhtar Donetsk’s coach says the Ukrainian champion will play its home games this season in Lviv in western Ukraine, over 600 miles from its home city, due to ongoing conflict in the east of the country.

Ukraine: We did not shoot at any plane

HRABOVE, Ukraine (AP) — Ukraine accused pro-Russian separatists of shooting down a Malaysian jetliner with 298 people aboard, sharply escalating the crisis and threatening to draw both East and West deeper into the conflict. The rebels denied downing the aircraft.
