Commonwealth Games gets 1st doping case

GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) — It was only a matter of time before a doping scandal hit the Commonwealth Games. This time, it involved a 16-year-old female weightlifting gold medalist from Nigeria.

GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) — A 16-year-old Nigerian weightlifter failed a doping test after becoming the youngest ever female to win a Commonwealth Games gold medal in the sport, organizers said Tuesday.
