CHICAGO (AP) — The NCAA agreed Tuesday to settle a class-action head-injury lawsuit by creating a $70 million fund to diagnose thousands of current and former college athletes to determine if they suffered brain trauma playing football, hockey, soccer and other contact sports.

U of I club hockey team looks for temporary home

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) — The Ice Arena at the University of Illinois won’t be able to open until at least mid-September because of mechanical problems. That will leave the school’s popular club hockey team looking for a new temporary home.
