Heisman winner Winston earns first win of season

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida State’s Jameis Winston had a slower seven days after a busy previous week that included the spring football game. The Heisman winner played in just two of four games, but did throw a career-high 4.2 innings while earning his first win of the season during the weekend.

FSU’s Martin becomes third D-I coach to win 1,800

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — Florida State’s Mike Martin became the third baseball coach in Division I history to reach 1,800 wins, earning the milestone with the Seminoles’ 4-3 victory over Wake Forest in 13 innings Saturday night.
