Michigan apologizes for mistakes with QB injury

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Michigan announced changes to its injury protocol Tuesday, admitting it made a mistake in handling quarterback Shane Morris following a suspected concussion because of a “serious lack of communication” and “confusion” among the coaching staff.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Michigan Athletic Director Dave Brandon says a “serious lack of communication” led to wobbly quarterback Shane Morris playing Saturday against Minnesota when he should have been pulled for his own safety.
