Bogaerts’ single in 9th lifts Red Sox over Orioles 3-2

BOSTON (AP) — Xander Bogaerts blooped a winning single with one out in the ninth inning and the Boston Red Sox won a game that included a couple of much harder hits, edging the Baltimore Orioles 3-2 Friday night.

BOSTON (AP) — The Red Sox hit the ball well for the second straight game. They won because the Washington Nationals kept having trouble fielding it.

BOSTON (AP) — Mookie Betts took away a two-run homer with a leaping catch. He stole two bases on the same pitch. Then he hit a three-run homer.
