SEPANG, Malaysia (AP) — Lewis Hamilton found a new way to demonstrate Mercedes’ domination of Formula One by sitting out two thirds of Friday’s practice sessions for the Malaysian Grand Prix and yet was still the fastest.

Ambrose says he couldn’t “deliver” as lead Penske driver

LAUNCESTON, Australia (AP) — Former NASCAR driver Marcos Ambrose says he asked to be temporarily replaced as a driver in Australia’s V8 Supercars Series because he couldn’t “deliver what’s expected of me” as a lead driver at DJR Team Penske.

Officials OK demolishing Irwindale Speedway for outlet mall

IRWINDALE, Calif. (AP) — The sights and sounds of high-performance cars racing around an oval track could soon be replaced by those of minivans searching for parking spaces after the City Council approved plans to demolish the popular Irwindale Speedway and replace it with an outlet mall.
