Roselawn Elementary Mrs. Regina Brewer pays close attention to her second grade students as they practice a listening exercise. She is a new teacher at Roselawn Elementary School and says she believes "all children can learn." (One in a series of new school teachers in Artesia.) ARTESIA — Children in Mrs. Regina Brewer’s second grade class at Roselawn Elementary School understand that this teacher really loves her job. "I believe all children can learn," she said. "It is our jobs as educators to find out which way each child learns best." Mrs. Brewer has spent the last 10 years, off and on, in Artesia and previously taught for eight years at the Roswell Independent School District (I.S.D.) teaching second-grade. She spent a year at Celina I.S.D. teaching fifth-grade science and another year at Roswell teaching first grade. Graduating from Lubbock Christian University in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree, Mrs. Brewer also has master’s hours at New Mexico State University. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and grew up there until moving to Roswell in 1982. She lived there until 1988. Her husband is Mark Brewer who is a production supervisor. Her hobbies include gardening and traveling. |
