JOHANNESBURG (AP) — Oscar Pistorius spent his first night of a five-year jail term in a single cell in the hospital wing of a prison in the capital, Pretoria, said a prison official.

NASSAU, Bahamas (AP) — Dehydrated and exhausted, Australian swimmer Chloe McCardel successfully completed a 78-mile (126-kilometer) swim Wednesday between two islands in the Bahamas.
