Cloudcroft Trails      Trails home page

While enjoying the more than 185 miles of motorized trails in the Sacramento Ranger District please follow these rules:

Travel on designated routes only, as shown on the Forest map and labeled in this brochure.

Only roads that are signed with route markers may be used.

No shortcutting switchbacks or turns in trails or roads.

No riding in open meadows off of trails or roads.

Share the roads and trails with other users. Slow down when your sight distance is limited by blind turns, weather conditions, vegetation, and when passing other recreationists, especially horse riders.

Never ride alone and wear proper safety gear.

Motorcycles and ATVs are to be equipped with a properly installed spark arrester that meets Forest Service requirements.

Avoid excessive wheel spins on roads and trails.

Please limit or avoid use during periods of wet or muddy conditions to reduce damage to the route surface.

New Mexico law requires registered vehicles for motorized vehicle travel on roads.
