Unlicensed motorcycles have been legally ridden on the trail system in the Lincoln National Forest since the early 1960s. In the United States, approximately 106 million acres of Designated Wilderness, 79 million acres of National Parks, all National Monuments and about 400 million acres of National Forest Land are off limits to OHVs.

Sad but true. Although OHVs are permitted and there are several single-track trails, agave and lack of use mean most of the trails in this area are for horses and hikers only. Several Queen residents own four-wheelers. They are probably our only hope for keeping trails open in this area.

Why we need this

Speak Your Mind
Unfortunately, not everyone loves our awesome sport. Some would like nothing more than to see both track and trails a thing of the past. What can you do besides piss and moan? Write your elected officials and let them know that off-road, motorized recreation is a positive, family oriented activity!
How do you contact your elected officials? Go to this site and key in your zip code.
