New Mexico FFA State Vice President/District V President Maegan Lemon entices members of the Artesia FFA Chapter with the promise of candy for good performance during a workshop she conducted this morning in Artesia. FFA district presidents spend part of their year in office conducting leadership workshops for the chapters within their districts. Lemon has conducted workshops with the Loving and Lovington chapters, with upcoming visits to Carlsbad, Hondo, Roswell, Goddard, Hobbs, Dexter, Cloudcroft, Hagerman and Mescalero planned before her year as president concludes in May. Her workshop focuses on stressing the importance of vision, flexibility, communication and adaptability, as well as creativity for the future of agriculture and its leaders. “New Mexico FFA is such a driving force for good in the world,” said Lemon, “and together we can continue to shape the future of agriculture as well as our country’s future leaders.”
