Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at West Main Baptist Church for Carl Jeffrey Norris of San Antonio, Texas.

Norris, 44, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, in Antarctica.

Nolan Fredrick will officiate the services, with interment to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Antonio Trivizo, Gabe Chavez, Greg McIntyre Jr., Dakota Bolen, Tyler Garthwaite, Chase Brown and Norman Shelton.

Carl Jeffrey was born Sept. 8, 1974, in Artesia to Carl D. and June Laney Norris. He lived in Artesia and Lake Arthur, graduating from Lake Arthur High School in 1993.

He and Karina were married May 27, 2000.

He worked as a fire systems technician in San Antonio and Antarctica. He enjoyed travelling to new places and attending sporting events of his favorite team. He will be missed by all.

Survivors include his wife, Karina Norris, of Lake Arthur; daughter Maya Norris of Lake Arthur; mother and stepfather June and Dan Boles of Bosque Farms; father-in-law and mother-in-law Antonio and Maria Trivizo of Roswell; sisters Jennifer Rose and husband Robert of Albuquerque and Sandra Garthwaite and husband T.J. of Artesia; brother-in-law Antonio Trivizo and wife Monica of San Antonio; nieces Hayley Hendricks, Alyssa Garthwaite and Paloma Trivizo; and nephews Dakota Bolen, Tyler Garthwaite, Chase Brown and Max Trivizo.

He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.
