The above-pictured javelina and two accomplices led officers with the Artesia Police Department on a brief pursuit Monday through a residential area. The three wild pigs were ultimately apprehended. Cmdr. Lindell Smith of the APD says no residents were in any direct danger as a result of the pursuit and calls were prioritized so that officers weren’t tied up with the incident until the pigs had been cornered.
