Everyone has a dream, but not everyone is willing to work hard enough to make it into a reality. But there’s a group of young people in Artesia who are committed to making their dreams happen, and they’re working hard to do whatever it takes.

Count It Again is an entertainment company formed by Lino Aguirre (aka Doughboy), Quintin Navarrette (aka NMclassic575), and Andrew Chavarria (aka DJ DrowzzzyDrew), with singer Gabi Sanchez. More than a group of performers, the company hopes to eventually branch out into music video production, recording new artists, and merchandise sales.

For now, they’re concentrating on performing and getting their names out there. They won first place in a Battle of the Bands in Roswell just a few weeks ago and have also played/competed in Los Angeles, Denver and Austin. The sound is a combination of hip-hop and rap with a little classic pop thrown in.

Their next performance as a crew will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 26 at the car show in Roswell. But they perform as separate acts, as well — DDrowzzzyDrew does a lot of parties, weddings and quinceañeras, and will be on hand for Artesia MainStreet’s Trick-or-Treat MainStreet event from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29.

released soon. Quintin serves as the company’s producer-recording engineer as well as writing songs and doing some rapping of his own. And Lino keeps things moving on the business side — he takes care of bookings for the company as well as helping with songwriting, lighting, recording, and anything else!

Count It Again is sponsored by Kingdom Mobile, and they hope to recruit more young, talented performers soon. Giving young people something positive to focus on is one of the company’s goals.

A website is coming soon, but for now, the crew can be contacted on Facebook at NMclassic575 or DrowzzzyDrew.
