Artesians turned out in droves Thursday evening to the downtown district for Artesia MainStreet and the Chamber of Commerce’s annual Light Up Artesia event. The fun began with the Parade of Lights, followed by late-night shopping, food, and a long line of children waiting to see Santa Claus at the Ocotillo Performing Arts Center. At right, Mrs. Claus and her elves wave from their sleigh during the light parade. At left, Nadia Hernandez tells Santa what she would like for Christmas. Brienne Green - Daily Press
