The Eddy County Commission approved an agreement with the New Mexico Highway Department today that will repair and rehabilitate U.S. Highway 285 between Mill Road and Main Street in Artesia.
The renovations will cost a total of $138,777, with the State of New Mexico paying 75 percent of the costs. The total amount paid by the county will be $34,694. Roadwork is expected to begin in January of next year. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
