The Artesia Police Department is warning residents of possible scams and fraud attempts directed at Artesia residents this month.
The first involves two males going from door to door attempting to shampoo residents’ carpets. No specific description of the “carpet cleaners” is available, according to the APD, but officers say the men do not have a business license and should not be allowed to enter residents’ homes.
