Kristy K. Glinis, 43, of Roswell, was arrested Sept. 4 in connection with a recent circulation of counterfeit bills in Artesia after Wal-Mart loss manager Scott Walker called the Artesia Police Department to inform them of a number of subjects attempting to buy items with what he believed to be false currency.

When arresting officer Gabriel Chavez arrived to the scene, a vehicle was stopped by other officers at the gas pumps outside of the store. The vehicle contained two suspects who had attempted to purchase items with a counterfeit $100 bill and another, according to Chavez’s statement, was inside the store itself. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
