A rootin’, tootin’ time at the Ocotillo • Riders in the Sky delight crowd
The Riders in the Sky, from left, Joey “the Cowpolka King” Miskulin, Woody “King of the Cowboy Fiddlers” Paul, Ranger Doug, “the Idol of American Youth,” and Fred “Too Slim” LaBour, “the Man of a Thousand Hats,” yodel their way through a classic cowboy tune Saturday evening at the Ocotillo Performing Arts Center. The well-known group, which has two Grammy awards, nearly 300 national television appearances, and 700 appearances at the Grand Ole Opry to their credit, was making its fourth appearance in Artesia.
