Artesia (Zia) Intermediate School seventh-graders gather around Artesia General Hospital Physician Assistant Sarah East this morning as she points out the various parts of a pig heart. East, who works closely with Interventional and General Cardiologist Dr. Clarence Pearson at AGH, gave four different presentations to Zia students, illustrating how the heart and lungs properly function as well as how smoking negatively affects those same vital organs over time.
