Artesia Public Schools Assistant Superintendent John Ross Null and Artesia Drug & Crime Coalition Manager Nancy Husselman tie red ribbons on a fence at Bulldog Pit last week in honor of Red Ribbon Week. Ribbons were tied to fences at Artesia High School, Artesia (Park) Junior High and Artesia (Zia) Intermediate as part of the schools’ pledge to be drug free. The ADCC would like to thank Navajo Refining and Eddy County DWI for providing the Red Ribbon Week materials passed out to all schools. The ADCC would also like to give special thanks to the “Friends of Rachel,” “Make a Difference” and “Teen’z Talk” student action groups for their hard work and dedication to serving Artesia’s youth in a positive way and their sponsors, Anna Kalley, Yvonne Branch and Connie Medley-Young.
