By unanimously approving a request for proposal (RFP), the Eddy County Commission made some headway during Tuesday morning’s commission meeting on a new facility to house the North Eddy County Sub-Office in Artesia.
According to Danny Stafford, Eddy County Maintenance and Operations director, after receiving five offers from construction companies to build the new office, a selection committee was assembled to review the bids. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
Out of the five offers, the committee interviewed three bidders: Bradbury Stamm, Jaynes Corporation and Greer Construction. With the lowest submitted bid of $2,205,200, Greer Construction was ultimately awarded the project.
The commission had previously budgeted $3 million for the new offices, which includes the construction of the new building as well as the demolition of the county’s current office at 111 N. First St.
