Dr. Jeffrey L. Boone, MD, MS and founder and director of the Boone Heart Institute, visited the Yucca Healthcare Center last week to perform cardiograms using the latest cardiac imaging techniques on more than 100 Artesia athletes. How much did it cost? Thanks to the Chase family and the Chase Foundation, not a cent.

Aside from his work with the Boone Heart Institute, Boone is also the national director of the NFL Alumni Testing Program. Traveling all over the world, Boone and his team bring their portable testing equipment designed to find early heart disease and other heart-related issues in NFL athletes.
