A Sweatt Construction crew finishes demolishing the old brick building at Second Street and Quay Avenue this morning. The building was formerly a NAPA auto parts store and small engine repair shop. The property, owned by Bennie’s Western Wear owner Jimmy Mason, was sold to First American Bank and will become the bank’s new parking lot. In turn, the bank’s old parking lot, located across Quay Avenue, will soon be the site of the new Artesia Public Library. Rob Larson – Daily Press
