During the month of October, medical professionals at Yucca Healthcare Center in Artesia have been making every effort to raise awareness of breast cancer.

According to Nurse Practitioner Carol Holland, the staff at Yucca Healthcare have done everything from putting up signs in all of the exam rooms to wearing pink at least once a week in order to generate conversation about breast cancer.

She also noted that Yucca Healthcare’s staff spends a great deal of time educating women on the risk factors associated with breast cancer.
