The Bulldog football team competed in its first passing event of the summer last Friday, a seven-on-seven tournament at the New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) in Roswell. The ‘Dogs fell to Lovington in the championship game. Artesia’s offensive and defensive trench specialists, meanwhile, came out on top in the Linemen’s Challenge. The Bulldog volleyball program hosted its summer tournament last Friday at Bulldog Pit, Park Junior High School and Zia Intermediate School. The ‘Dogs came out on top of the twoset match against the Tigers.
