Visitors to Artesia’s annual Art in the Park festival Saturday at Central Park were treated to a variety of delights, from unique, handcrafted items to tasty treats to a Renaissance exhibition. Above, members of the Shire of Gleann Medonach, which includes members from Roswell, Artesia, Carlsbad, Hobbs and Lovington, do battle, to the delight of the crowd. In conjunction with the event, the Artesia Public Schools band program held its annual cakewalk, which also drew a crowd eager to compete for cakes and listen to the bands’ performances.
