The Sporting Clays Fun Shoot blasted off with 135 people participating in the Friday Night Under the Lights event, a 12-stand shoot that began at sunset Friday.
The young and the mature all tried their hands at hitting the flying orange targets. The more experienced shooters instructed and guided their fellow shooters through the twists and how-to’s of a traditional clays shoot. Sponsors succeeded in the promise of great target arrangements, and excellent food was provided by C-n-G BBQ. Door prizes also sparked excitement, with hunts and what-knots valued from $500 to $24,000 awarded, and several local charities were supported. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
