The Eddy County Commission provided the county’s Teen Court with $8,000 in funding Tuesday.
The court, affiliated with the Carlsbad Anti-Drug/Gang Coalition, received funding last year of $6,700. The court’s administrator, Joanna Wells, hadn’t planned to request funding from the county this year but had attempted to get a federal grant through the City of Carlsbad.
