One afternoon in March, a little boy named Taylor Shirey, a kindergartener at Grand Heights Early Childhood Center, was playing outside with his father, Jason Shirey, when an Air Force Special Operations training program sent a MC-130J training flight class to practice air drops and aerial formations at the Artesia Municipal Airport.
Through the eyes of this 5-year-old, the military exercises were not only successful but planted a seed in the heart and mind of a young man now aspiring to be a future pilot.
