Above, Kim Green holds daughter Alison’s hand while the two learn together the location of classrooms and proper places for backpacks and lunch pails during the first day of classes this morning at Grand Heights Early Childhood Center. The halls of the kindergarten were filled with excited new Eager Beavers and their often tearful parents as the new Artesia Public Schools students began their journey in public education.
