At left, a group of children enjoy the Splash Pad at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Complex at last year’s Back to School Blast. This year’s event will begin at 5:30 p.m. today at Faith Baptist Church and will feature water jumpers, carnival games, food, pony and hay rides, a backpack giveaway and more.
