On Sunday, April 28, Artesia Police Department officers were involved in a high-speed chase which ended in the arrest of two 17-year-olds, Thomas Lucero and Nathan Cline, of Roswell.
APD officers were first dispatched to the area of North 10th Street and Memorial Drive in reference to an auto burglary occurring in the 700 block of North Fourth Street. The reporting party of the crime was also following the vehicle.
By the time the officers arrived, they were flagged down by a passing motorist and were advised the suspects’ vehicle, a gold Ford four-door, was travelling on 13th Street near Artesia General Hospital. When officers caught up with the vehicle near the intersection of 15th Street and Hank Avenue, the gold Ford increased its speed. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
