With Councilors Nora Sanchez, Raul Rodriguez, Jose Aguilar and Mayor Pro Tem Terry Hill absent from Tuesday night’s council meeting, the Artesia City Council had to postpone all resolutions and ordinances until the next meeting. Nevertheless, the council received an update from the 7024U Outreach Center.
“We do have a quorum tonight, but by state law, any resolution or ordinance has to be passed by five votes,” Mayor Phillip Burch said. “We will not be able to consider ordinances or resolutions this evening.” … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
