Vehicles sit backed up on Main Street Monday from First to Seventh streets, a byproduct of the numerous construction projects currently underway in the downtown area. With all the changes going on, streets have been blocked off and traffic jams are occurring. Construction of the new Artesia Public Library has streets barricaded in the area of Second Street and Quay Avenue and the First American Bank parking lot construction is ongoing in the Roselawn Avenue area, diverting traffic that would normally utilize Quay Avenue to Main Street.
